Festive Fun

We had lots of fun this month decorating our classroom for Christmas. We learned songs, poems and read lots of Christmas stories. 

We even wrote some imaginative letters to Santa Claus to explain why the elves went on strike.

For poetry, we learned a poem called 'Snowman'.

We are really enjoying learning how to play the violin with Ciara.

November

During the month of November the children in Third Class have been busy doing some wonderful work. 

For Art, we used our drawing and painting skills to draw bare Winter trees. 

For SESE, we learned all about Owls. We know owls are nocturnal and and baby owls are called owlets.

We got really creative with old newspaper and made owl collages! 

The theme of this year's Anti-Bullying Week was to 'Choose Kindess'. We read the story 'Have you filled a bucket today?' and discussed ways we can be kind to others in our class. 

Violin

Third Class have been enjoying violin lessons every Thursday with Ciara from Music Generation. 

So far we have learned 'The Violin Rap', how to hold the violin correctly and the names of all the strings. It is wonderful to see the children making great progress during violin lessons. 

Project work

We are learning all about different spiders, spider habitats and what spiders eat. 

Well done to all the boys and girls on completing their wonderful spider projects. 

Autumn

We enjoyed learning all about Autumn. Our new poem is called 'Autumn is here'.

We used lots of colours to paint our Autumn trees.

We completed projects about foxes and learned lots of fun facts about the fox.

First term fun

Welcome to our class blog! 

The children in 3rd class 3B have been busy settling into their new classroom and having lots of fun visiting the school playground.

In September, we explored the theme of 'Myself'.

For art, we drew self portraits. 

For SPHE, we discussed how everyone is unique and we described our different character traits.
